ABC Kids Health is bridging the gap between what we should be eating to maintain optimal health and what we actually eat.
ABC Kids Health started when Kelly Dedman had a health scare with a kidney infection and was hospitalised for 3 days. Forced to consider her own health issues she decided to seek more information about nutrition and its link to her own mind/body function. She found a common theme. “Although there is a lot of media noise and commercial opportunism in the latest diet fad or “superfood”, the reality is that health agencies around the world have all reached a consensus that a healthy diet should be rich in plant-based foods,” Kelly explained.
Simple right? Not with 2 kids and a shoestring budget- thus began her research.
We asked Kelly some questions about her business, ABC Kids Health, and how it has helped her family.
What exactly is ABC Kids Health?
“My search for a simple answer to having loads of nutrient filled fruits and vegetables was becoming a far fetch dream, amongst many different supplements and fishy omegas, I never really felt completed with what I was ingesting because I honestly didn’t know the ingredients of the vitamins I was taking. This frustration within was present daily when I popped those pills- seriously no wonder people juice all their fruits and veggies into a smoothie. My budget wouldn’t allow all those great fruits and vegetables I know I needed nor did my schedule with time and kids allow it. I could however afford it if someone put all that goodness in a capsule. Over the course of my research I gained knowledge about whole non-GMO foods. It was then I stumbled across just what I was dreaming of! So why a focus on the kids?

The chews allowed me to acknowledge the fact that I don’t have to force feed them on a regular basis to eat all the veggies on their dinner plate- and believe me, that released a lot of pressure from the dinner table.
