29 Dec Be prepared for Storm Season this Summer!
When it comes to extreme weather events in Queensland, it’s not a matter of if but when. In the first three weeks of December alone, the state had already experienced unprecedented bushfires, significant rainfall and more extreme weather events were likely over the summer period.
Although initial weather forecasts have predicted that fewer cyclones may develop this season, it only takes one significant event to cause severe damage. Queenslanders are being urged to take preventative steps early to reduce the risk of damage and financial loss from natural disasters. Being prepared can assist in your post-disaster recovery.
There is a wealth of information to help the community prepare for destructive weather. For up to date information about weather warnings in the region you can refer to;
