The Gladstone Region Multicultural Week is fast approaching, running from the 26th of August to the 4th of September. This week is a great opportunity to celebrate all cultures that contribute, and are a part of the Gladstone Region Community.
Part of the celebrations over the course of the week is a Multicultural Buffet at Yaralla Sports Club, Celebrating Cultures Story Time at Gladstone Library, Indian Fijian Night at the Lightbox, and Interfaith Artists Exchange at Crow Street Creative.
One of the highlights of the week will be a Passport to Gladstone interactive competition for the community for a chance to win a family holiday package to Heron Island. The package includes 3 nights in a Turtle Family Room for a family of four (two adults & two children under 12), launch transfers and full buffet breakfast daily.
The Passport to Gladstone competition will open on the 26th of August to kick off the week’s activities. The competition will involve visiting and collecting Code Word’s from a number of local businesses before being able to enter into the draw. The competition draw will take place at the Multicultural Festival on the 4th of September.
The Festival itself will be a great day out for the whole family with entertainment and food stalls. All of the wonderful authentic foods from so many amazing cultures are always a big draw card to the festival, and foodies travel from all around the region to check out the delicious treats.
