Gladstone based teen model, Emily Gleeson has been selected to compete as a Teen Entrant in the ‘Australian Supermodel of the Year’.
Emily is a normal everyday 15yr old, grade 9 student at Gladstone State High School who strives to gain good grades! Emily began modelling around 3 years ago, and this year entered as a Teen Entrant in the Australian Supermodel of the Year. Emily has been particularly busy in the last 9 months travelling for photo shoots, including to Paris in August. She has also travelled around Queensland which has given her a modelling portfolio most models take years to develop. Emily has been told she is a natural in front of a photographer’s camera, with modelling abilities far beyond her years. On Sunday 28th October, Emily showcased her catwalk and photography modelling skills in Brisbane. Emily has also collaborated with her local sponsors in another photoshoot to showcase her modelling photography talent to present to competition judges in her modelling portfolio.
Emily puts her heart and soul into modelling and has recently returned from Paris on a photographic campaign with reputable photographer ‘Kartik Photography’ and ‘Stone Rose Media’.
Louisa Bradley, Director of Elite Avenue modelling agency said modelling in Paris was a wonderful experience for Emily. “Being photographed in front of the iconic ‘Eiffel Tower’ is a milestone in itself! But to receive many magazine publications is also recognition and encouragement from the modelling industry,” she explained.
“We cannot wait to see Emily transition into the high fashion world of catwalk and photography modelling and we will be watching closely with anticipation to support her every step of the way! A model who has a skill set in all areas of modelling, Emily is set to shine! Emily is quite a natural when it comes to her posing ability!” Louisa added.
Emily is currently coming second in her division and is excited at the prospect of making the Top 5. This group will travel to Bali for the Finals. The results will be confirmed on December 2st but at this stage, Emily is continuing to seek sponsorship and support from the community. Emily has also been busy raising awareness and funds for one of her sponsors the ‘Gladstone Animal Rescue Group’ (GARG). So far, her fundraising efforts have raised over $600 to buy pet food & product for the Carer’s who foster the abandoned pets who are awaiting adoption.
