The Gladstone Resource Supply Chain Expo is just around the corner!

GEA Supply Chain

THE GLADSTONE RESOURCE INDUSTRY SUPPLY CHAIN EXPO,
PRESENTED BY GLADSTONE ENGINEERING ALLIANCE (GEA), IS RETURNING ON THURSDAY 6 APRIL 2017 TO SHOWCASE THE GLADSTONE REGION’S HIGHLY SKILLED SUPPLY CHAIN.

GEA is inviting the community to attend and GEA CEO Carli Homann said the Expo will be an unsurpassed opportunity for decision makers to engage with over 100 highly-skilled Gladstone region manufacturers, engineers, suppliers and industry experts in one place.

“Gladstone is the land of industry giants. We have two of the world’s largest alumina refineries, Queensland’s largest multi-commodity port, Australia’s largest cement manufacturer, 7% of the world’s LNG and a new biofuels plant under construction. Because we have such a diverse industrial sector Gladstone also has a dynamic range of small to medium enterprises who work in the background and keep this industry going,” Mrs Homann said.

“This Expo is about giving local suppliers the opportunity to showcase their high-level skills and capacity gained from working within these industries for many years. These suppliers are ready and waiting to deliver world-class service for major projects and we want to make sure that everyone knows about them.”

Special guests from around the state have been invited to attend the Expo. These guests represent resource companies and buyers – from project investors and proponents, Government representatives and industry associations to Tier 1 contractors and smaller firms.

Mrs Homann said the Expo is also a chance for the Gladstone community to learn more about Gladstone industry and the businesses at the heart of the resources sector.

The event will be hosted on Thursday 6 April 2017 at the Leo Zussino Building on CQ University’s Marina Campus from 9am to 2pm and is free for the public to attend.
