Beauty Therapy students from Gladstone joined their Rockhampton counterparts for the first time at the 2017 CQUniversity Rockhampton Graduation Ceremony recently.
A total of 11 Beauty Therapy students graduated at the 5 December event, but the four Gladstone students, Lefu Fonomaalii, Tyarna Thring, Meagan Nitschke and Renee Theuerkauf were thrilled to join their Rockhampton peers.
They were just some of the more than 350 students who crossed the stage to officially complete their studies.
After receiving their Diploma of Beauty Therapy qualifications, the quartet reflected on their study journeys at CQUniversity.
Teacher Kathleen Andrews said each of the students discovered a passion for specialist skills within the Diploma.
“I loved skin analysis and performing facials,” Meagan Nitschke said. “I found the science and chemistry of the skin fascinating.”
Tyarna Thring specialised in massage, facials and glamour makeup, Lefu also specialised in facials and has a passion for helping people with skin problems, while Renee specialised in theatrical and fashion make-up for all aspects of modelling.
