It was an exciting time at the beginning of January, when a team of 20 keen local kart racers headed to Ipswich Kart Track for the JC Kart training camp.
World renowned Kart racer and V8 supercar driver James Courtney hosted a weekend for all JC kart racers to offer them expert advice, guidance and mentoring for upcoming kart races of all ages. The Gladstone JC Kart team were given top engine builders, mechanics, pro drivers and media management to help develop their skills and knowledge.
“Even in the 42-degree heat, a fun time was had by all. It was a great experience especially for the younger team members. We are all excited and ready for the CQ Series.” Anthony Myers, owner and team manager of JC Karts Gladstone said
The CQ Series starts this year on the 25th March with the first race kicking off in Emerald. JC Karts is excited to announce they are a major sponsor for the series in 2017.
10 year old local upcoming kart star, Billy Myers will be attending the first round of the Australian titles at Newcastle in Feb, competing in a field of 40 in the cadet 12 class
