Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) recently welcomed a new CAT D11T dozer to its RG Tanna Coal Terminal, though the newest addition is not likely to blend in with GPC’s existing fleet.
The new dozer has been painted a brilliant shade of blue and was welcomed as part of GPC’s initiatives for Movember to raise awareness and funds for men’s health causes including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.
The initiative is collaboration between GPC and Hastings Deering, and will provide a constant reminder of the importance of the mental and physical wellbeing of men across the organisation and the wider community.
The new blue dozer joins GPC’s iconic pink dozer, who stands proudly amongst the coal stockpiles and reminds employees about being proactive with the health and wellbeing of women in the workplace and in the community. GPC’s pink dozer is also an advocate for National Breast Cancer Awareness.
A fundraising BBQ was held to celebrate the arrival of the new blue dozer and to give an additional boost to GPC’s Movember fundraising efforts, which saw more than $9,500 raised for the cause.
GPC would like to thank Hastings Deering for their assistance in bringing the blue dozer initiative to fruition.
