Keeping our community safe is a whole of community activity and our local Crime Stoppers are currently recruiting new members.
Crime Stoppers volunteers help to ensure that the community knows that there is a safe and anonymous way to report crime information without fear of retaliation, which in turn results in increased arrests, reduced crime, and a safer community for us all to enjoy.
Crime Stoppers volunteers are a critical part of the service’s success, which recently achieved a major milestone with 100,000 charges being laid since 1989, as a result of reports from Queenslanders to the independent service.
It’s not all a one-way street though, Crime Stoppers offers locals a great opportunity through its volunteer roles.
Volunteers are given the opportunity to learn new skills and expand their working experience under a nationally and globally recognised brand, within a professionally supported work environment.
Whether you are a retiree looking to continue to contribute to your community, a student looking to gain some work experience, a parent looking to return to work, or you are just looking to meet new people and have some fun, Crime Stoppers is a great way to stay connected to the community and give something back.
