THE GLADSTONE REGION MULTICULTURAL WEEK IS FAST APPROACHING AGAIN THIS YEAR, STARTING ON THURSDAY 24 AUGUST AND RUNNING UNTIL SEPTEMBER 3.
Behind the scenes lots of work goes into organising and running the annual community event and GMAI treasurer Peter O’Dwyer said that because of the increasing attendance and the growth of the Multicultural Festival each year we had to look for a safer way and be able to increase our availability of power supply to our stall owners in some areas of the
Festival site.
Luckily QGC Community Fun recognised the need and came to the rescue to support the local non-profit organisation. The Gladstone Multicultural Association Inc received funding to purchase of three, thirty two amp electrical distribution power boards and five thirty two
amp electrical leads.
This equipment will make it safer and assist with the distribution of electricity to our stall owners at the Festival.
GMAI thanks QGC for the funding and also the local companies Sheriff Electrical Wholesalers and Platinum Electrical for the excellend servic in supplying the equipment.
This equipment will also benefit other organisations in the Gladstone region who wish to hire for a small fee the electrical distribution power boards and electric leads from the GMAI. The hire fee will be used to maintain and service the electrical equipment.
