Cancer Council’s Gladstone Relay for Life is one of the largest events in Queensland, raising vital funds to support our work locally and give hope to each and every person diagnosed with cancer.
In 2016, the local event raised more than $103,000 for the cause and we hope the community will once again band together and continue making a difference.
In Central Queensland alone, more than 1210 people are diagnosed with cancer each year – those people are our family members, our friends, our colleagues.
This year, Gladstone Relay for Life will be held on July 29-30 at Chanel College Oval. The event will start at 3 pm with an opening ceremony for local survivors and carers.
Teams will then take to the track and relay for 18 hours overnight, in solidarity for the cause.
We encourage others to also join the cause. The simple gesture of taking part and raising funds means the world to those affected by cancer.
This is your chance, Gladstone, to give hope for a cancer free future.
Together, we can beat cancer.
