Could your sporting organisation or active recreation group benefit from up to $1200 of Club Development Grant funding?
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett urged members of sporting groups to apply soon for Round 2 of Gladstone Regional Council’s 2016-17 Club Development Grant.
“This funding can help our regional sporting clubs purchase small equipment items or implement initiatives which can make a difference for the club in the long-term,” Councillor Burnett said.
Round 2 of Council’s 2016-17 Club Development Grant opens on March 5 with submissions accepted until midnight on Sunday, April 9.
Deputy Mayor Chris Trevor said the grant regularly attracted strong interest from sporting clubs across the Gladstone Region.
“It is great to see sporting clubs keen to apply for our Club Development Grant with the funding able to provide financial help towards minor club improvements,” Cr Trevor said.
“Grant recipients often use the funding to purchase equipment such as canteen and office items, training gear, defibrillators, first aid and fire safety equipment or to fund sports training accreditation courses.
“Funding of up to $1200 is available to eligible recipients required to make at least a 20 percent contribution to the total project or activity cost.”
Applicants are encouraged to discuss their proposal for funding with Council’s Sport and Recreation Section by phoning 4976 6300 or email
