14 Jan 14 Gladstone Year 12 graduates are stress-free with guaranteed entry to CQUniversity
Over a dozen Gladstone Year 12 graduates can breathe a sigh of relief thanks to CQUniversity’s Principal’s Recommendation Scheme (PRS), which has provided 14 students guaranteed entry into university while their peers anxiously wait for ATAR results this weekend.
The PRS is a program that provides an alternate entry pathway to CQU based on the recommendation of a school Principal, rather than ATAR.
18-year-old Shara Watson was thrilled to receive guaranteed entry into a Bachelor of Accounting/Bachelor of Business and start planning her future before even graduating from high school.
“With 2020 being such a tumultuous year, I began to look at alternate pathways into university,” Shara said.
“The PRS gave me a sense of security knowing I have guaranteed entry into my dream course and future career as a data analyst.”
Associate Vice-President (AVP) for Gladstone Luke Sinclair believed the program was a great option for students to help take the stress out of school and final exams during a disruptive schooling year.
“At CQUniversity, we believe senior schooling results are an important factor leading to student success. We also recognise that other factors and attributes such as motivation, talent, and passion have a key role to play as well.”
