2023 will see the official opening of BITS Medical’s new training facility, adjoining their Medical Centre in Boyne Island.
The new building will provide many services to the Boyne Island and Tannum Sands community, and will act as a hub for healthcare for the Gladstone Region. Equipped with a large training room, the new building will play a huge role in educating the future health workforce of Central Queensland, hosting educational seminars for doctors around the region in skills such as Mirena Insertion, CPR, Skin Cancer medicine and Cortisone Injections. The rooms will also be used to prepare the students on the Regional Medical Pathway for a career in General Practice.
