1770reef welcomes a new Catamaran

On the 12th of November, a new addition the fleet at 1770reef arrived safe and sound to the 1770 Marina.

The 130-passenger vessel Catamaran started transporting passengers on the 20th of November 2020, taking over from the old 41 passenger Reef Jet, that has been reliably transporting passengers to Lady Musgrave Island.

The New vessel will operate the same as the Reef Jet by departing daily and changing times with the tides.

The Reef Jet will still be put to work taking passengers to snorkel out at Fitzroy Island. These tours will also be available at the beginning of school holidays (depending on crew acquisition).

The tours to Lady Musgrave Island are located 5.5hr drive north of Brisbane and 1.5 hours North of Bundaberg and 1.5hours South of Gladstone. 1770reef provide the closest access to Lady Musgrave Island departing daily from the Town of 1770, with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea all provided.

The full day tour includes a boat cruise to Lady Musgrave Island, snorkeling on the Southern Great Barrier Reef with the stunning marine life of Lady Musgrave Island, guided island nature walks with a local tour guide and a glass bottom boat tour allowing you to see more of the coral lagoon.
