27 Feb Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival Wrap Up!
Over 1000 patrons were present for the 2020 #AgnesBluesFest. In addition the volunteers, performers, sponsors and media included over 200 more people that experienced this year’s stellar line up.
With tourism as the major industry, this festival in February provides a positive economic boost. Discovery Coast Tourism and Commerce are proud to organise the event as part of their annual volunteer marketing activity.
The majority of the festival patrons came from outside the Gladstone Region – some being first time visitors. The festival is becoming more popular every year with interstate visitors and this year the event hosted internationals who scheduled their visit from Vienna, Austria to attend!
The Festival brings high calibre performers to the Gladstone Region. All performers from both the Marquee and Discovery stage were of a high quality.
Sharon Hare, Event Manager says that she was particularly excited to have seen Hat Fitz & Cara and Kristen Lee Morris and The Dirty Snakes as a part of the program on the Marquee Stage along with Tiny Houses and Lightviolet performing at the Discovery Stage, a new addition to the festival for 2020.
Discovery Coast Tourism & Commerce, the community group that organise the event will complete the post festival wrap up and assess the best way to use the profits within the community.
The 2020 Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival is proudly supported by Gladstone Regional Council’s Community Celebration Fund. The 2020 Agnes Blues & Roots Festival is also proudly supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland, featuring It’s Live! in Queensland events calendar, worth $880m to the state’s economy in 2020.
The entire #AgnesBluesFest team would like to thank all of our amazing sponsors who support this event each year, make sure you support them too!
