In a move to enhance educational opportunities and bridge the digital divide, the Australian Government has committed $8.8 million to provide up to 30,000 eligible families with free National Broadband Network (NBN) service until December 31, 2025.
The government has announced an extension of the School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI), keeping the nomination period open until December 31, 2024. This extension guarantees free NBN internet service for both new and existing families enrolled in the SSBI until December 31, 2025. Families who connect before the end of this year will benefit from up to two years of free NBN broadband.
