31 May The Gladstone Bowls Club have invented a new way to improve the club’s future!
Gladstone Bowls Club and RSL joined are always looking for ways to remain sustainable and like many organisations as times slow down it’s been a big challenge for the club to meet rising costs.
Terry Wyper the club treasurer had been battling concerns over the financial future of the club and decided to think outside the square and find a new way to raise funds for the club via advertising space.
Terry partnered with Ben and the team at Newprint HRG to sell advertising space externally and internally at the club.
Mark Winter from Departure Point has kindly donated over $2000 as a long time sponsor (3+years) and has helped through sponsored advertising, which has raised vital funds for the club. Mark is happy to support the club as it is an important community organisation and urges other business people to consider it as a win-win situation.
Mark said ‘It’s a great relationship we have with the club and most importantly it’s mutually beneficial, the club getting vital funds, our sign being exposed to over 13000 commuters daily.’
Another community champion is Gladstone Valley Funerals who have a sign up too!
If you are an individual who values our local bowls club and wants to help here are some other ways to support the club: Barefoot bowls, available anytime, Bistro is available for dinner, Raffles run regularly at the venue and great drink prices. The Hall is also available for hire.
Without the support of local businesses like Departure Point and the other advertising sponsors, communities like the Gladstone Bowls and RSL might not exist.
