BUNTING PARK’S PAW-FECT NEW FACILITY

Gladstone Regional Council’s newly constructed Dog Agility Area at Bunting Park in Calliope is open and ready for action.

Your four-legged friends will wag their tail in delight at the sight of Gladstone Regional Council’s latest addition to Calliope’s popular park. The new course will put your pooch’s speed, agility and stamina to the test

Calliope’s additional green space also gives residents another great reason to head outdoors and enjoy. Gladstone Regional Council Acting Mayor Chris Trevor said the addition of a dog off-leash area was identified in the Bunting Park Master Plan.

“We have an abundance of beautiful green spaces here in the Gladstone Region, so it’s great to be able to share those with our furry friends also,” Councillor Trevor said. “Not only is it great to spend time outdoors, but regular exercise is an important factor in our canine companions’ health and happiness.”

The $60,000 Bunting Park – Dog Agility area has been funded by the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland program.
