“The biggest surprise of being in business is how supportive everyone has been in the community. I find that I really jump into opportunities and iron out details later, but whenever I put myself out there with questions, I’m met with support from other people in the business community. Working as a sole trader for so long, the opportunity to network with other people at different stages of business, or in different businesses altogether was invaluable. I didn’t feel alone when I went out on my own, since I already had these connections with people. Since then, I’ve been met with nothing but support,” said Tess.
