GRADE THREE STUDENTS AT CLINTON STATE SCHOOL ARE LEARNING ALL ABOUT DRAMA LAST WEEK FROM A VERY SPECIAL GUEST. THE GLADSTONE ENTERTAINMENT CONVENTION CENTRE (GECC) AND MONKEY BAA THEATRE TEACHING ARTIST, BELINDA HOARE ARE HOSTING FOUR FREE DRAMA WORKSHOPS WITH CLINTON STATE SCHOOL STUDENTS.
This week 130 grade threes experienced the theatre production The Peasant Prince – a story about famous dancer Li Cunxin who is now the artistic director of Queensland Ballet. To prepare the students, Belinda Hoare takes students on a journey of imagination, improvisation and empathy, including exploring cultural identity. The students gain an understanding of acting and the important role drama skills can play in daily life. GECC is proud to bring theatre to the Gladstone school community.
