CQU Tafe turns 10

CQUniversity Australia in Gladstone recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of its merger with CQ TAFE, marking a decade of growth as Queensland’s first and only dual-sector university. This historic merger has transformed the educational landscape, offering both vocational and higher education to meet the demands of Central Queensland’s current and future workforce.

Since the 2014 merger, CQUniversity has expanded its educational reach, now offering over 250 courses ranging from Certificates to PhDs to more than 30,000 students. The university’s dual-sector status allows it to provide a seamless pathway from TAFE to university-level education, enhancing opportunities for students across the region.
