A new photography exhibition, “The People and Places Powering Australia’s Future,” is now open at the Gladstone City Library, celebrating Central Queensland’s vital role in Australia’s energy transformation. Running until Saturday, 30 November, the exhibition features stunning images of the region’s people, landscapes, and projects at the forefront of the shift to renewables.
Commissioned by the Australian Government’s Net Zero Economy Agency as part of its Bringing New Energy to Australia campaign, professional photographer Katherine Griffiths captures the faces and places leading the way. The exhibition highlights significant developments, including ACCIONA Energía’s Aldoga Solar Farm, the transition of Stanwell Power Station into a Clean Energy Hub, and pioneering research at CQUniversity, Gladstone.
