12 May Feast on East in on for Cruise ship arrival today.
Another exiting day in Gladstone as we see the next cruise ship arrive in our beautiful port. A great boost for Tourism in the Gladstone Region, the influx of ships will continue to happen with P & O increasing the amount of visits from 5 this year to 10 next year.
Its important that locals show support and create a warm and vibrant energy towards our visitors that will be here to visit a place they may not have heard much about. Also a great opportunity to take advantage of the fanfare with Feast on East Markets. Stall holders will be set up along East Street for the day.
Parking for the markets is available at the newly designed car park at the yacht club end of East Shores. There will also be pop up shops at Library Square today organised by GRC
Gladstone News owner, Karina said ‘I encourage Gladstone locals to turn up if they get a few spare minutes to show support and embrace the new opportunities popping up in our region – it’s very exciting’.
A soccer match has been set up with the Cruise ship crew playing local soccer team Meteors. If you’d like to be a spectator, 11am at Meteors clubhouse is the place to be.
Congratulations to all involved in putting on activities and events for our visitors and community.
