Fire up the Harley for the Ride4Lives Suicide Awareness Ride

Gladstone’s Ride4Lives Suicide Awareness Ride is back again in 2021!

Kicking off at the Gladstone Marina Stage the Ride4Lives will finish at the Captain Creek Community Sport & Recreation Club (just 20km from the community of Agnes Water/1770) where riders are invited to camp overnight.

Ride4Lives connects the community with training and service providers to help them become better at listening and supporting people who may be directly or indirectly affected by suicide.

Recognising the need for a safe and supportive place where people affected by mental health or suicide can come together, Ride4Lives aims to reduce the stigma that surrounds suicide by educating the Gladstone community.

Ride4Lives Australia Inc was established in 2017 aiming to ensure all funds raised in the region were used locally. The ride events help foster social connectedness, awareness and raise funds for suicide prevention training and mentorship programs.

The ride will take place at 8:00 am on Saturday, February 27 and will cost $50 per person. Participants will be awarded: a long-sleeve collectors shirt, a poker run entry, morning tea, lunch, a burger & drink, and the option to camp overnight at the final destination. A courtesy bus will also be running oneway trips to Agnes.

To register head to www.ride4lives.org/ and help raise suicide awareness.
