The successful applicants for Round 4 of the Federal Government’s 2023-24 Local Sporting Champions and Local Para Champions programs have been announced. Federal Member for Flynn, Colin Boyce, announced that nearly $30,000 will be distributed to 51 young athletes in the Flynn electorate to help cover the costs of participating in local, state, or national championships.
“These successful applicants are competing or have competed in sports including Australian Football, Basketball, BMX, Cricket, Eight Ball, Gymnastics, Netball, Pony Club, Rowing, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Squash, Surf Life Saving, Swimming, Touch Football, Volleyball, and Water Skiing,” said Mr. Boyce.
