Federal Member for Flynn, has expressed his satisfaction with the recent announcement of $931,200 in funding allocated towards the design and upgrade of the concrete culvert on Palm Drive in West Gladstone. This investment is part of a broader $772 million initiative dedicated to the Bridges Renewal and Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Programs, initiated by the former Coalition Government over a span of four years from 2022 to 2023.
The aim of these infrastructure programs is to enhance road safety and bolster the efficiency of freight transportation to market. Emphasising the funding’s importance, it was stated that it would support the repair and reinforcement of the 3.2-meter-long concrete culvert on Palm Drive. The project aims to rectify defects, strengthen the structure, enhance load capacity, and extend its lifespan.
