Students in the Gladstone region recently had the unique opportunity to dive into the intricacies of the gas industry from exploration to transportation through the immersive Well to Wharf workshop. Facilitated by the Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy (QMEA) in collaboration with ConocoPhillips, the downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG), the workshop unfolded at the Gladstone CQUniversity campus.
More than 50 year 7 students from Gladstone State High, Toolooa State High, Chanel College, Tannum Sands State High, and Calliope State High engaged in the full-day program. The initiative aimed to illuminate the diverse roles within the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, spanning from the gas fields to the tankers used for shipping.
