Six members of the Special Olympics Gladstone club recently returned from the national event in Tasmania.
Ruby Lawler, LeviHarris, Adam Knust, George Button, Bailee Baxter and Joshua Banks made up six of 731 athletes at the annual Special Olympics in Launceston this year. It was a new experience for Bailee and Joshua, who both competed at Basketball. The State and National Championships are held every four years, but the athletes have annual interclub competitions which they also train and travel for.
