21 May Local celebrates major milestone with 22 years of service
Local Shane Banks is celebrating a major milestone with 22 years of service at McDonald’s Kin Kora restaurant in Gladstone.
Shane has been serving up Macca’s favourites to the community since 1998 and is well known amongst not only his colleagues but also the community.
Shane started as a McDonald’s Crew Coach and has found a passion for training and coaching the next generation of staff. He enjoys teaching his skills and sharing experiences with fellow employees, often building close-knit relationships with those he meets. Once he received a letter of appreciation from one of his previous team members, thanking him for his hard work and commitment, and Shane notes this as one of his fondest memories throughout his time at McDonald’s.
Through training programs run by McDonald’s, as a Registered Training Organisation, Shane has also been able to develop his skills undertaking a Certificate III in Retail Supervision, Crew Training and Development programs, and advancing his skills in communication, coaching and leadership.
Shane has had many career highlights over the past 22 years including his work with the community through training, providing exceptional customer service, and serving up his favourite Macca’s burger ‘The McFeast’ with a smile to locals.
