03 Dec Local MP Glenn Butcher sworn in to Queensland Cabinet
The Hon Glenn Butcher has been sworn in as Queensland’s Minister for Regional Development and Manufacturing and Minister for Water in the new Palaszczuk government cabinet.
The Premier said the ministry reflects the importance of powering Queensland’s economic recovery and the continued health response.
It also establishes a Minister for Hydrogen recognizing the importance of this valuable new energy source and a Minister for Water.
In a press conference Mr Butcher said,
“It is great to be here today being sworn in as Minister with added portfolio now of water. We know how important water infrastructure is.
Coming from Central Queensland, obviously Rookwood Weir is one of those priorities that we see here in Queensland. Not only are we getting it going but we’ve funded it and we’ve now started working on that project.”
