10 Mar Meet Dacia
Meet Dacia Stewart, our new resident journalist here at Gladstone News.
Dacia is a third-year university student, currently majoring in Journalism and Creative Writing at Griffith University, and this is her first job as a journalist.
“I couldn’t be more enthusiastic to be joining the lovely team here at Gladstone News. I’m excited to be able to get more involved with my community, and to meet lots of new people.”
Dacia’s a Tannum Sands Local, and she lives with her partner, Chris, and her cat, Popcorn. She loves both of them a lot, but not necessarily in that order.
“I’m really passionate about the arts and music, and any kind of cultural events that are happening. I think good news stories can really unite a community, so if you have a feel-good story to tell, don’t hesitate to shoot me an e-mail!”
Dacia enjoys spending time in the ocean, watching Netflix with a glass of Chardonnay, and trying out new recipes… as long as they go to plan.
In her spare time, Dacia likes to watch her hard-earned money go down the drain when Popcorn insists on sitting inside of old cardboard boxes instead of using the expensive cat toys she is given.
If you have a local news story that you think other people would love to know about, feel free to contact Dacia on news@gladstonenews.com.au, and she’ll get back to you as soon as she can!
