07 Nov PARMA FOR A FARMER
LOCAL BUSINESSES ARE GETTING INTO THE FUNDRAISING SPIRIT WITH PARMA FOR A FARMER – ENCOURAGING LOCALS TO GRAB A PARMIGIANA TO SUPPORT FARMERS AND RURAL COMMUNITIES.
Local businesses ie cafe and the Club Hotel Gladstone are participating this year’s Parma for a Farmer, with funds going directly to Rural Aid’s Buy a Bale Initiative. CEO of Gladstone Community Linking Agency, Tracey Alexander, said “as a Social Enterprise of GCLA we are always keen to support ie cafe’s participation in such initiatives, like Parma for a Farmer. It’s such a great way individuals can help out our farmers and get a delicious meal in the process.”
“It’s an incentive that is close to our hearts and something which we hope we are able to help raise some funds for those doing it tough out there,” said Rebecca, from the Club Hotel Gladstone.
Parma for a Farmer sees a portion of every parmigiana sold at registered venues donated to Rural Aid’s Buy a Bale initiative, which supports our farmers with much needed resources during these drought-affected times.
Help our local businesses support drought-affected farmers, grab a parmy and keep up to date by following them on Facebook @iecafetannumsands and @TheClubHotelGladstone.
So come on Gladstone, it’s time to participate in the tastiest fundraising campaign in Australia!
