Students from Gladstone State High School hosted a Pink Stumps Day on Friday, February 26.
During the lunch breaks, year 12 students seized the opportunity to bowl bouncers at their teachers, in a classic staff versus student cricket match.
Pink Stumps Day is an annual event organised by the McGrath Foundation for cricket clubs & teams, schools and workplaces to come together, turn their cricket game pink, have fun and fundraise for the McGrath Foundation – all while showing support for people in the community experiencing breast cancer.
The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who provide invaluable support and care to women and men experiencing breast cancer.
Gladstone State High School students were encouraged to wear a pink shirt on the day in exchange for a gold coin donation to the McGrath Foundation.
