What do you do when you find out that two wiggles have married each other? The only thing appropriate. You do the Monkey!
There was no wiggling out of commitment yesterday for the couple who kept their relationship a secret for the first two years.
Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie and Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins made their big, red love official yesterday, tying the knot in a royal-inspired ceremony south of Sydney. They exchanged their vows during a late afternoon ceremony in Bowral with around 200 close friends and family in attendance, including past and present members of the children’s entertainment group.
The couple, who met as performers on the superstar children’s group and hid their relationship for two years, but yesterday a perfect musical pairing and that was evident when the elated pair took their relationship to the next level.
Watkins, 26 channelled vintage siren bride in an elegant fairytale-esque gown by Australian designer Suzanne Harward and Red Wiggle Simon Pryce was a groomsmen.
The important questions i and many fellow parents of kids who watch the wiggles had have been answered:
Did Emma have a bow-tiful day and wear the Yellow bow? No she didn’t.
Her trademark yellow bow was replaced with a headpiece by milliner to the stars, Viktoria Novak.
Did the first dance include doing the propeller? Unconfirmed at this time.
Did they arrive in a big red car? No sign of that car.
They are now husband and wife so we can imagine maybe a litt
le wiggle baby some time soon. I am so keen to see a pregnant Emma doing the monkey and actually having to wake up Lachy to feed the baby.
My daughter has done the monkey to celebrate the wiggle wedding. Introducing Wiggle Abella. More wedding pictures to come.
