We send our love to Hannah’s family tonight.

We are sorry to share the news that Hannah Cook has been found and it’s very sad news. The search is finished but the shock is just beginning.

Earlier today Police were seeking public assistance to help locate a 25-year-old woman Hannah Cook’s from Calliope who went missing yesterday. Her last know whereabouts had been at a Gladstone school where she dropped her child at school.

At 7.22pm tonight Queensland Police service have informed us that they have located the body believed to be that of a woman reported missing from Calliope.

Gladstone News Editor Karina Georgi said ‘we normally don’t publish this shock news so quickly in our small community but people have been sharing her image and keeping an eye out for her. We need to let them know that the search is finished but the shock is just beginning. We feel for the family who have received such sad news’.

From our team and the community we would like to let the family know we respect their privacy. It has rocked our town to hear such bad news. The thought of a child not seeing mum again after being dropped at school is unimaginable.

We will not be updating this story further unless any support or help us needed for the family in the future. We are very sorry to share this heartbreaking news.

Police said there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
