Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School

Catholic Education Week is the perfect opportunity to celebrate all that is great about Star of the Sea Primary School.  Situated beside the local Parish Church, we provide a quality education for approximately 300 students in Prep to Year Six. Established in 1902, we are proud of our history and the many who have added to its chapters.

We believe that children learn by doing and classrooms should be full of investigation and challenge.  We seek to provide an education that caters for the needs of the whole child – nurturing, not only their academic qualities, but also their physical, social, emotional and spiritual development as well.

This year’s Catholic Education Week theme – 175 Years a Spirited Tomorrow – celebrates the long and proud history we have and looks forward with confidence to the future which our young students will create. Our Catholic Education Week celebrations will centre around performing acts of kindness for each other and for the wider community.  Throughout the week our students will engage in a variety of classroom activities with our older students joining online in the Diocesan Catholic Education Week Mass.

All who seek our values are welcome at Star of the Sea where open and honest communication is evident at all levels.  Enrolment enquiries for 2020 /2021 are welcome via our school website http://www.staroftheseagladstone.qld.edu.au/enrolment/enrolment-information.html or by contacting our School Office on 0749721305.
