25 Mar SUBMISSIONS OPEN: FUNDING OPPORTUNITY AND PHOTOGRAPHIC ENTRIES
RADF ROUND ONE 2018-2019 NOW OPEN
Round One Applications close 4pm Friday, 22 March 2019, for projects that commence after 8 May 2019.
Local arts and cultural groups and individuals can apply for funding for specific short- term projects during two rounds each year, closing each March and August.
Submissions are assessed by a local committee of dedicated arts and community representatives, who make recommendations for funding to Council. Applications can be made across a variety of art forms with six funding categories available and four local priorities identified.
The six funding categories are:
1. Developing Regional Skills
2. Building Community Cultural Capacity
3. Regional Partnerships
4. Cultural Tourism
5. Concept Development
6. Contemporary Collections / Stories
The Gladstone Region Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Gladstone Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Intercity Images 2019
An annual photographic exchange open to Gladstone Region residents. From novice to professional, all photographers are invited to capture the spirit of Central Queensland’s lifestyle, people and environment. Intercity Images is an annual photographic exchange between the Gladstone Region and its Sister City, Saiki City, Japan. All eligible local entries will be exhibited at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum from April 13 to May 25 and thirty selected images will be sent to Saiki City, for display during June and July 2019.
Photographers are invited to submit up to two photographs before entries close 5pm Saturday, March 30, 2019.
Intercity Images is a Gladstone Saiki Sister City Advisory Committee initiative supported by Gladstone Regional Council.
