Gladstone Regional Council is currently working on connecting utilities and services to the existing Bonsai House at Tondoon Botanic Gardens, preparing it for public access. As part of the Council’s 2023/24 Capital Works program, the Bonsai House Utility Upgrade project will include the installation of a new water pipeline from Glenlyon Road to the facility.
Additional works involve the removal and replacement of some panels and pavers in the existing area, drainage and irrigation system installation, electrical and communication connections to the Bonsai House and storage shed, painting, storage shed construction, provision of tables for bonsai display, and landscaping. The project is expected to be completed by mid-September 2024.
