Emily and Hui Yan’s innovative “DV Bracelet” caught the attention of the judges with its unique approach to safeguarding victims of domestic violence. The bracelet’s lifesaving features include a button that instantly alerts authorities, texts a trusted contact with the wearer’s GPS location, and records audio evidence. To ensure the device remains discreet and dignified, the duo proposed a unisex design available in various styles and colours. Their vision includes distributing the bracelets freely via vending machines in hospitals and women’s health centres.
