The now-two-time champion said that the story of his win is something he will carry well into the future.
“I started metal detecting in 2017 after hearing about using metal detectors to find gold. Originally I started detecting gold, then I moved over to ‘treasure and relic’ hunting because I had easier access to the beaches, meaning I could detect more often. I’d try to get to the gold fields when I could. I’ve had some success in both gold and treasure and relic detecting, and when the first Metal Detecting World Championship (MDWC) was announced in 2019, I decided I couldn’t miss it,” said Trevor.
