What: Tondoon Botanic Gardens Bonsai Weekend

Where: Tondoon Botanic Gardens

The annual Bonsai Weekend is held in conjunction with the Gladstone Multicultural Festival. This year’s event includes visiting demonstrator Stephen Callum, raffle prizes and free Bonsai stock plants.

What: World Science Festival

When: 9:30am – 3pm

Where: Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre

A free action packed program for the whole family includes a range of science activities from launching rockets to our of this world VR experiences.


September 4

What: Beach Arts Music (BAM) Markets

When: 2 – 7pm

Where: Millennium Esplanade, Tannum Sands

What: Rainbow in the Gardens

Where: Tondoon Botanic Gardens

What: Under the Trees

When: 11am – 10pm

Where: Jacaranda Drive, Boyne Island

Under the trees is a laid back music and art festival located ‘under the trees’ between the soccer fields and oval at Jacaranda Drive. There are two stages, street theatre performance, multiple bars and food stalls. Get your tickets at www.underthetrees.com.au.

What: QCWA Calliope Book Day

When: 9am – 3pm

Where: QCWA Hall – Bloomfield Street, Calliope
