Test drive Toyota’s new hybrid range

When: 9am – 5pm on Friday and 9am – 12noon on Saturday

Where: Bill Roberston Toyota, Hanson Road

Cost: FREE

What: Learn from hybrid experts, test drive the new hybrid range, enjoy a free BBQ lunch and giveaways.


8 May

Calliope Crushers Netball Trivia Night

When: 5:30pm for a 6pm start

Where: Calliope Community Hall (5 Don Cameron Drive)

Cost: $5 per person or $30 for a team (up to eight people)

What: Support the Crushers as they raise funds for much-needed sporting equipment. Hosted by Dr M’s Quizzology, it will be a trivia night to remember with games, raffles, prizes and much more. Check out the Calliope Crushers Netball Club Facebook page for more information, and to book your spot.

Mother’s Day

When: All Day

Where: Your Place

Cost: Hugs and Kisses

What: Don’t forget to show mum how much you appreciate everything she does for you and your family this Mother’s Day. It can be as simple as picking some flowers from your garden, washing the dishes, taking her out to breakfast, or buying her a gift from one of our local businesses – your mum will love whatever you do.

EQIP Careers Expo

When: 9am – 3pm

Where: CQUniversity Marina Campus (Bryan Jordan Drive)

Cost: FREE entry

What: The expo brings together a variety of experts, via information and trades demonstration stalls, to speak with high school students about career and education pathways. Callide Valley Show

Where: Biloela Showgrounds

Cost: $5 – $20 per person

Rotary Club of Gladstone Midday Charity Markets

When: 7am – 12noon

Where: Tondoon Botanic Gardens

Cost: FREE entry

What: Enjoy the beautiful Tondoon Botanic Gardens while perusing a variety of market stalls selling everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to home-made knick-knacks. There will be a variety of food vans on site, and free music entertainment for you to enjoy your morning coffee or bacon and egg sandwich.

Cancer Council Queensland Biggest Morning Tea

When: Doors open at 8:30am for a 9:30am start

Where: Gladstone Bowls Club

Cost: $15 per person
