PRINCIPALS ADDRESS

As a school, we are extremely proud of the achievements of our students over the past 12 months.

Outstanding achievements like this do not come through chances, they are the direct result of hard work, dedication and persistence from our students, staff, families, P&C committee and the greater school community.

It takes a village to raise a child, and we sincerely thank everyone who has engaged with Toolooa SHS to make it the great school that is is.

We will continue to work collaboratively with the Gladstone community to offer our students the absolute best opportunities in the future.

Justin Harrison – Principal

Congratulations to our 2019 School Captains, Rosannah Stedman and Maddison Campbell, and our Vice Captains, Brooke Assman and Amber Wright.

Junior Secondary Leadership

As a school community, we value the skills that leadership positions develop in our students. Along with the senior executive, our Junior Secondary Leadership Team will be engaging in a range of exciting initiatives across 2019. We can expect to see our leaders emerging with fundraising, community events, school beautification, environmental initiatives and much more!

STEM SQUAD

The beginning of 2019 has seen the introduction of STEM Squad to Toolooa SHS. This is an exciting extra-curricular activity run by our Junior Secondary Head of Department, AshtonShohnan, where students engage with arrange of STEM experiences and challenges. With the support of CQU, QMEA and QAL,our students have already had access to specialist equipment and impressive STEM specialists, including robotics expert, Dr Damien Kee. This year, our students will participate in a range of competitions and activities designed to challenge their thinking and improve their skills in mathematics, science and technology.
