29 Aug SHELL’S QGC COMMUNITIES FUND – CLOSING 2019 FUNDING SOON
Shells’ QGC Communities Fund supports community organisations in the Gladstone region to undertake community projects and has proudly been doing so for the past four years.
Funding for community projects between $10,000 to $40,000 will close for this year on the 31st August but never fear, there is still time to get your funding application in. Simply visit: shellaustralia.smartygrants.com.au and follow the prompts to register and begin your application.
Since it started in 2015, the Fund has disbursed $1.3 million, benefitting 44 grassroots projects.
Here are some local community groups it’s helped;
Benaraby Progress Association – Refurbished their hall to continue hosting dances, movie nights, charity balls, afternoon teas and garage sales to help raise funds for local causes.
Baffle Creek Golf Club – Built a great outdoor shaded area of their clubhouse where they can have functions safely out of the sun.
Boyne Tannum Scouts Group – Built a much-needed shed beside their hall, making a positive difference to kids, community and the organisation alike!
These projects were made possible by Shell’s QGC Communities Fund, and we’d love to see more community groups get their projects up and running.
So, get your submission in before 5pm 31 August.
