22 Apr Vote for Agnes Water & Town of 1770 in the Top Tourism Town Awards
GLADSTONE Region residents are being urged to vote now to see Agnes Water and Town of 1770 crowned Top Tourism Town (population below 5000) in the Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s Top Tourism Awards.
Gladstone Area Promotion Development Limited CEO Gus Stedman said “I might be biased, but I believe Agnes Water and Town of 1770 truly are the Top Small Tourism Town in the state”.
“These picturesque seaside communities offer a diverse range of activities and experiences for every type of holiday,” he said.
“We have iconic Queensland beaches, pure national parks, access to the heart of the Southern Great Barrier Reef and so much more.
“Out climate is best described as perfect, with more than 280 days of sunshine a year.
“Imagine swimming in crystal clear waters, unwinding on your own deserted beach, kayaking or surfing beside dolphins playing, sailing and bushwalking. This is the essence of Agnes Water and Town of 1770, untouched, exclusive and pure.”
To vote in the awards, which aim to recognise and reward towns that offer an amazing visitor experience, all you need to do is scan the QR code on the next page.
Voting closes on April 26, with the winner announced in May.
Every person that votes will go into the draw to win a $2000 Apollo Motorhome Holiday Voucher, to explore their favourite top tourism towns.
The Top Tourism Town Program was introduced this year across Australia as part of the Australian Tourism Awards series.
State winners will have the opportunity to represent Queensland at the National Awards, and be named Australia’s Top Tourism Town.
