24 Sep 26 LARCing Years
No one appreciates World Tourism Day quite like 1770 LARC! Tours. In May 1994 the first pink LARC! rolled out of the Town of 1770 and into the surrounding waterways and lush National Parks. Who knew that 26 years later that same pink LARC! would still be exploring this secluded piece of paradise?
It has been an exciting journey for 1770 LARC! Tours to arrive where they are now – their second pink LARC vessel was introduced in 1997. The Bustard Head Lightstation, destination for the popular Paradise Tour, was significantly restored and is now filled with artefacts and memorabilia. LARC! guests can even enter the historical lighthouse tower, which celebrated its 150th birthday in 2018.
Owner Neil Mergard said “We are so proud to continue LARCing around. Our amazing team have always put in every effort to create what we consider one of the greatest ‘Must Do’ tours in Australia!”
