St John the Baptist

St John The Baptist4St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School believes in establishing sound foundations while lighting the fires for future growth. Strong traditions encourage values of integrity, tolerance and service, while educational research delivers an innovative curriculum promoting curiosity and self-worth. The school is fortunate with extensive grounds, exceptional facilities and committed staff, who, in building relationships of trust, create the space for students to question, initiate and lead.

Parents are valued as real education partners and the school believes that a collaborative learning partnership between the student, teacher and parent is vital for success.

St John Primary School is very proud of its Marist heritage and continues this Marist thinking by seeking to bring Christ into the world around us through being of service to others as Mary did. The students and school community are encouraged to be active stewards of all God’s gifts by reaching out to help others in need and care for our environment.  The school Motto “True Before God True Before All” permeates all that we do at St John’s, as every student strives to be true to God and to themselves.

During Catholic Education Week, school St John The Baptist2celebrations will reflect the theme “Opening Doors in the Year of Mercy”. A whole school community mass will start the week and throughout the week, all students and staff will be focusing on ‘opening doors’ to help others through Random Acts of Kindness for those in our school and the wider community. The contribution of parents will be acknowledged with students writing letters or cards of thanks to their own parents. On Thursday, the children and their families will share a picnic-style ‘Lunch on the Lawn’ on our school oval.
