A Bright Future Takes Shape at Aldoga 

Gladstone has long been recognised as an industrial and energy powerhouse for Queensland. From manufacturing and export infrastructure to power generation, the region has helped fuel the state’s growth for decades. Now, with the Aldoga Solar Farm reaching full commercial operations, Gladstone is again demonstrating its ability to adapt and lead,  this time in the transition to cleaner, renewable energy. 

Located around 20 kilometres north-west of Gladstone, the 480-megawatt Aldoga Solar Farm is one of the largest solar projects in Australia. At full capacity, it will generate enough clean electricity to power the equivalent of approximately 185,000 households each year. Just as significant is its environmental impact, avoiding an estimated 934,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually – comparable to removing about 360,000 petrol and diesel vehicles from the road.
