Central Queensland’s First Intensive Acting Workshop

Central Queensland’s First Intensive Acting Workshop

On July 2nd and 3rd the Capricorn Film Festival in partnership with Gladstone’s Regional Arts & Development will offer a two day intensive acting workshop at the Central Queensland University Campus. The workshop will be a chance for those interested in acting to learn from one of Queensland’s best acting teachers Lyn Kidd. Originally from Gladstone, the head tutor from Brisbane’s ‘The Acting Workshop’ will return home bringing 20 years of experience with her.

Lyn says “It is important that those people whom are interested in drama take this opportunity. I’ve had plenty of actors walk through my door that second guessed themselves for a long time, but when they finally took the leap, they moved on to great success in the field of acting .”

Day one will consist of vocal exercises, introduction to scripts, working with the camera, and script analysis. The workshop will conclude with attendees filming a scene and receiving their screen tests to use for their show reel.

Luke Graham, Festival Director and Producer of Gladstone’s multi award winning Broke said “We are excited to be offering these intimate educational workshops, which will give acting enthusiasts more skills to help them move to the silver screen.”

Make sure to get in early as limited seating is available. For more information or to book visit the Capricorn Film Festival Facebook page or www.capricornfilmfestival.com
